Cilique is a combined pill with ingredients most similar to the contraceptive patch and the previously discontinued Cilest pill. The higher oestrogen dose may help to control breakthrough bleeding, but may cause unwanted side effects such as sore boobs or nausea. Fun fact: when you take Cilique, your body changes the progestogen it contains into the progestogen found in the other combined pills such as Microgynon and Rigevidon.

Within a week of taking cilique I became extremely bloated way more then normal, all of my jeans felt way tighter then usual and everyone knows their own body so when your body changes you can notice it easily. My appetite severely decreased and my boobs got tender and swollen it became uncomfortable. I normally take my pill at 4pm and when I was on my old pill if I took it a few hours later nothing would happen but I forgot and took it at 8pm and got breakthrough bleeding, even after taking my pill at 8pm and the next day on time I still had the bleeding. Also noticed I felt very faint around 6pm on the day I was late to taking it and also got cramps. I know this is a lot of information but it is really helpful to know the symptoms others get for a certain pill. I’ve decided to stop taking this as I really don’t like it and don’t recommend it but other reviews have said they suggest cilique so I’d say try it and see what works for you.

Did not help with heavy periods and cramping, instead made it worse.

Since being on this pill my mood and emotions have improved, my period cramps are much lighter, bleeding is lighter, sex drive has improved. Everything about this pill has been 10x better than the previous 5 I’ve tried. The only thing I’d say is I’ve experienced a couple more spots since being in it but nothing major. When I was looking at these reviews before I started this pill they were pretty much all negative so I’m here to tell you it doesn’t have bad side effects for everyone :)

I found this pill fine for a few years and then started getting a fair bit of spotting between periods, which I think increased thrush and BV which I kept having to treat every few months or so. Also realised I was having brain fog and feeling quite emotional and low mood/ motivation. I felt a lot better mentally when I came off this pill and the spotting and regular infections stopped. My acne and oily skin got worse when I came off this pill though.

After having a nightmare from getting pregnant and miscarrying from the copper IUD, i wanted to try a hormonal contraceptive which doesn't involve anything being inserted inside my body. Been taking clique for a month now, and i cant complain. I was worried to take it because of the hormones and the portion side effects but I definitely would say that it was worth it. My skin is now clear, my periods feel lighter, less painful and dont last as long. Which is definitely what i wanted after having painful and heavy periods for a while. So i would recommend for skin problems and heavy periods. Only issue is breast soreness, which often makes them feel uncomfortable and it feels like they've increased in size.

I have had a good experience with this pill after having a bad experience on rigevidon. Helped me with cramps and cleared up my skin a lot. No noticeable changes to moods, sex drive even slightly increased. My breasts did get bigger and I feel a bit 'puffier' but no noticeable weight gain. I was a bit nauseous the first week I took it but I would recommend taking it in the evening as doing this got rid of that.

Experienced quite low moods and can often lash out sporadically for sometimes no reason. Also decreased my libido and increased the amount of vaginal discharge i experience making things unpleasant. I often suffer with infections down there but cannot say it is definitely this pill, but acne has gone a bit better and it does do what it’s supposed to

Was prescribed this pill to try and combat heavy painful periods as my old pill at a weaker dosage was failing. Began with a mild increase in anxiety, low moods, weight gain and breast change. By the end of the 3 months, I was having constant panic attacks, nausea and vomiting which disappeared when I stopped taking it.

I started taking this pill to regulate my period as they were lasting about 9 days. Now down to 6 days and not experiencing period pain. On the down side I have had more mood swings (feeling irritable/upset). Also experienced more headaches and migraines than before (always a problem for me generally but became more frequent). No other noticeable side effects but changing to a progestogen pill because of the headaches.
