Experience

After being on the combined pill for most of my life I was advised by my surgeon to try the mini pill. I figured what’s the harm and booked in to swap over. So for the first say 3 months it was great. I had barely any cramps, my skin was clear, I didn’t have any periods… I wasnt going to complain about that… but after they obviously got into my system… it was bad. I ended up having random periods, break through bleeding and spotting… as you can imagine with work and a busy lifestyle this was a nightmare. I also got really bad cramps.. so bad that I was curled up in a ball in pain about to call an ambulance because I had convinced myself that I was going into labour and I didn’t realise I was pregnant Haha!! Completely unmanageable… A positive was that my moods had regulated after coming off the combined pill. But that’s probably the only good thing I have to say about this pill…

Experience after taking

I moved swiftly onto another tablet so the changes I noticed were minimal. It didn’t take long for my skin to become clearer and the pain almost immediately subsided once coming off the tablets.
