Experience

I have PCOS, and always struggled with my periods, but when I started this method of contraception it started to regulate my periods before they completely stopped. However, it was good in the sense that I didn’t have periods so no pain, or clots but it really affected my mood and confidence with weight gain. I was very thin anyway and it did help me gain a little weight, but it went on suddenly and made me more hungry therefore now having stopped the pill it’s harder to lose weight as the symptoms are still there, the hunger. However would recommend it if you can’t take oestrogen based pills.

Experience after taking

I started to feel slightly less depressed and more free of the burden taking the pill every day. I got my first period ~2 months after I stopped however it can take up to 2 years for some people, depending on you as a person. I don’t usually have periods anyway so it came as a surprise but the first one in 2 years was painful and heavy.
