Experience

I used Nexplannon for almost 8 years. My first two implants seemed fine. I did have low moods, but I was also studying for a PhD so unsure which was the cause. Very soon after my first implant I developed terrible, massive, acne and this did not stop until I stopped having an implant. I experienced very low moods and complete loss of sex drive with my third implant, and felt quite unstable at times. I have put on about a stone that I’m struggling to shift even a year after the implant was removed.

Experience after taking

My periods still haven’t gone back to what I think is normal. It’s difficult to tell because I’ve had hormonal contraception for 15 years until a year ago, so I am not sure what is normal. It has been a year since my implant was removed and my periods are very light so I do feel worried that things aren’t as they should be. I do feel a lot happier though and my skin has really cleared up. I did manage to lose some weight but keeping it off has been hard and I’ve put it back on again.
