Experience

I got the implant last January and only have positive things to say about it. Insertion was fine, hurts a bit and turned into a bruise for a couple of days. I stopped the pill due to the frequency of taking it and how it negatively effected my mood, this so far hasn’t effect me mentally, and it makes me feel a lot safer for a more constant pregnancy prevention. I enjoy the thought that I do not have to think about contraception for 3 years and that I can feel that it is still there easily ( in comparison to a iUD). Period wise, I still got one 2 weeks after insertion when I would have had one anyway, since then it has been a light spotting/ period with some cramps and increased sex drive every 5-6 weeks
