Experience

When I had the coil put in, I was told it was one of the forms of contraception that had minimal to no side effects and my periods should be significantly reduced or may stop completely until I have it removed, but I was the total opposite! My periods were heavier and would last 2 weeks+ and were super painful! I had check ups to ensure it wasn’t another issue but there was nothing else wrong, it was just the side effects of having this coil! I kept it in for just over 2 years because I was told it just needed to ‘settle in’ but it never improved so I had to get it removed. I know a few of my friends that have had the same have also had them removed for the same reasons.
