Mirena

The Mirena has been excellent on the whole. I am on my fourth coil which is now due to be changed. However, you MUST CHECK YOUR STRINGS! Mine have disappeared, the coil is in the correct place but I will have to go through ‘a procedure’ to have it removed, which sounds unpleasant. I never bothered checking the strings; Ive had it between each child and forgot about it once it was implanted – poor fanny management. My loss of libido is more down to work/life balance rather than contraception. I will have another to see me up to the menopause. Husband isn’t keen on the snip so more speculums and stirrups for me…
