I didn’t react well to the coil at all. I had it fitted at approximately 5:30pm and by 8:30pm I was in hospital having it removed. For some people I think the initial pains are manageable but for me, they were unbearable and accompanied by vomiting. The doctor that removed it told me that for an unlucky few, their bodies reject it and try to push it out which is unfortunately what happened to me. Apparently the Mirula is smaller than the copper coil and so the side effects can be much less severe. Regardless of this, I will not be taking the chance!
