Experience

I’ve used Yasmin for 7 months. Does its job as a contraception and my periods are lighter and predictable to the day (before I would sometimes be weeks late). It has made my skin absolutely flawless (I used to struggle with painful acne on my cheeks and T zone), but at the cost of increased anxiety and tearfulness – although these mood changes could be due to life stresses. It made my breasts noticeably increase in size but they were on the small side to begin with so not too bothered. I’ve dealt with a few episodes of severe UTI and thrush, but I’m trying to be more careful to prevent these now. I felt very travel sick during the first month but that stopped. I also get dizzy a lot but this may be due to diet. No noticeable weight changes. I used to be on rigevidon but I gained a lot of weight and my mood was at an all time low so I stopped. Overall, it’s better than rigevidon but I’m trying to stay self-aware of how Yasmin is affecting my mood as I have been feeling very low recently.
