Experience

I was using Microgynon for a long time with no issues, before my nurse said to me that she was gonna change my prescription to Rigevidon because “it’s easier to get.” I’d never had any issues getting Microgynon so I was a bit confused and unsure, but the nurse reassured me that the two brands were “the same.” They are not the same! Rigevidon made me feel very irritable and I noticed a loss in my sex drive. Because of this, I went back to the GP and asked to be put back onto Microgynon. I’ve been back on Microgynon for 3 months and I feel a lot better. However, I’ve just requested another prescription and been given a slip for Rigevidon. I told the receptionist that I specifically did not want to be on Rigevidon and once again I was told that it’s the same as Microgynon! It’s so frustrating to be told that they’re the same when you’ve experienced differences between the drugs.
