Beware of high estrogen levels in pill that increases sugar in your body and can give you thrush! I started taking this in December 2019 and stopped a few weeks ago in April 2020. I had to switch to Lizinna because Cilest was discontinued and they’re meant to be similar. I had some spotting at the start which went away. I immediately got my first ever yeast infection when I started it , and then recurring oral thrush which is still affecting me now. I started getting back pain during my period which I’d never had before only cramps in the front. I had frequent nausea and hot flashes. Whenever I’d have a meal I’d break into a sweat, which is something that used to affect several years ago when I took lucette but didn’t bother me so much after I’d switched to cileste and taken it for a while. My mood on lizinna was not great. I was very emotional but I couldn’t tell you if it had anything to do with the pill or if I was just going through a rough patch. What I will say though is that the constant thrush was super frustrating and unpleasant and led me to stop taking it. I tried to push through the effects and let my body adjust to the pill which can take around 6 months but by the 3rd time I got oral thrush in just a few months I stopped it. It did make my boobs swell up a little bit though which I liked. I think generally it made me gain weight as well. It seems like a lot of people have had a rough time adjusting from cilest to lizinna even though they are meant to be the same chemically. I wish that they hadn’t discontinued cilest but for the time being I’m gonna give my body a break from taking the pill. I only just stopped taking lizinna a couple of weeks ago so my hormones are still out of balance but I am hoping that my oral thrush goes away for good

Experience after taking

I impulsively stopped it partway through the pack which made me get my period early. I have been quite hormonal emotionally. Besides that it’s too early to tell how it’s affecting me I still have a decreased appetite and hot flashes. And I just woke up the other day with signs of my 4th round of oral thrush since I started taking it (itchy tongue, sweet taste in mouth, discoloration and some bleeding in throat) but I’m hoping that with time my body will go back to normal.
