Experience

I tried Seasonique (levonorgestrel) to help me get through my menstrual cycle as I experience many horrible PMS symptoms and discomfort throughout the cycle. I ended up in the emergency room. The plan was to take the extended pill and skip the sugar pills so I could get rid of my period entirely. I took the pill for 18 days and ended up having multiple panic attacks daily. When I called the nurses line, they advised me to continue taking it and some effects would probably subside. They did not. I felt extreme panic and doom multiple times a day and was continuously trying to catch my breath. I also could hardly eat, had migraines and diarrhea. I could hardly function. And it took exactly 18 days to leave my system after I stopped taking it. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. If leaving this review prevents someone from taking it then I am thrilled. Please do not take Seasonique, it’s not worth the feeling of hopelessness and constant panic.
